The podium in the finale wraps up a strong season for Jordan Matthews.
Jordan Matthews concluded the 2026 ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship with yet another podium finish, securing P2 in the Sportsman class at the Cowm Quarry finale. The result rounds off a season where Jordan finished on the podium in every single round he entered. The finale offered a fast and flowing race, but it was far from easy.
Jordan described the race as fast and smooth, but with plenty of challenges along the way. According to him, the traffic could either make or break your race. Despite the second-place finish, he left the finale with the feeling that the result could have been even better.
"I think the result in the final race could have and should have been better."
Looking back at the season as a whole, however, there are plenty of positives to take away. Jordan missed two rounds during the year, which dented his chances of fighting for a top-three finish in the overall championship. But every time he actually lined up on the starting grid, it ended with a podium.
"Overall I’ve had a good season, being on the podium for every race I’ve competed in this season, which I’m really happy about.”
He would have loved to see what a complete season could have meant for the championship standings, adding that a top-three finish overall was something he would have liked to fight for.
2027: moving up a class ahead of next season, Jordan plans to move up a class to challenge himself against tougher competition. Following a season where every start ended on the podium, 2027 will not just be a continuation. It will be the next level.
For Valento, it will be incredibly exciting to keep following the journey as Jordan takes on this new challenge.
